Title Attorney

Dawson Springman PLLC is hiring an attorney with at least three years of oil and gas title experience for our downtown Fort Worth office. Licensure in Texas and/or New Mexico is required.

We’re looking for someone who does careful, practical title work and wants compensation that reflects both experience and production. We can structure the role around a more modest base with a lower billable requirement and meaningful bonus opportunities, or a higher base with corresponding expectations.

Annual base salary ranges from $100,000 to $200,000. Annual billable-hour requirements may be as low as 1,300, depending on the agreed salary, experience, responsibilities and overall compensation package. Salary and billable expectations will be established together.

The work

• Examine oil and gas title and prepare clear, well-supported title opinions.
• Analyze ownership, conveyances, leases, probate materials and related instruments.
• Identify title defects and develop practical curative requirements.
• Work with partners and clients to resolve title issues and keep matters moving.

Who we’re looking for

• At least three years of substantive oil and gas title experience.
• Licensure to practice law in Texas and/or New Mexico.
• Strong legal analysis, writing and attention to detail.
• Judgment to work independently and recognize when an issue warrants discussion.
• Reliable communication and ownership of assignments.
• Interest in an office-based role in downtown Fort Worth.
